Sustainability

The Family Building project has been planned around sound sustainable development objectives, which include

1. Helping children and adults to understand their local built environment better

2. Demonstrating how waste materials can be used to complete practical projects.

3. Helping children and adults to understand about environmental issues such as the benefits of public transport

4. Providing family learning activities within walking distance of people's homes, thereby removing the need for a car or bus journey into the centre of Swansea

5. Enabling local community halls to be used for family education programme
