Project outcomes

The most important project outcomes will be:

1. The project will improve communication, understanding, respect and inter-dependence between people from different age groups, genders and cultural backgrounds. This will be achieved by taking a programme of exciting family building projects into community halls across Swansea.

2. The project will provide activities that will meet the needs of all sectors of the community, and will complement the work of local primary schools, FE colleges, adult education centres and other local education providers.

3. The project will help both individual families and whole communities to learn to work better together as a team.

4. The project will make information available to participants about other local community activities (eg community education), and encourage families to participate in them.

5. The project will enable greater use to be made of existing community buildings such as community halls. This will assist their visitor levels and may assist their sustainability

6. The project will provide opportunities for children and adults to understand and value their local urban environment. This will be achieved by providing the programme of Family Building projects listed in section 2.1.
