BeneficiariesThe individuals who will benefit from the project are:
1. Boys and girls aged 3 to 11
2. Mothers and fathers of those children
3. Grandmothers and grandfathers of those children
4. Other members of the families in 1,2 and 3 above
5. Adult carers for children aged 3 to 11 who are in care
In the first year, we expect to receive 1600 visits from 960 beneficiaries. In each of the second and third years, we expect to receive 4000 visits from 1600 beneficiaries. The total number of beneficiaries over the three years of the project will therefore be 4160.
Note that children will not be able to attend the Family Building Club on their own, and neither will adults. Only family groups including at least one child and one adult will be allowed to attend.
At every session, staff will consult with the beneficiaries, to gain both feedback, and ideas for future projects.
The organisations who will benefit from the project are:
1. Local community groups in Mumbles, Penlan, and Brynhyfryd, as we will signpost families towards them.
2. Other family learning programmes in Mumbles, Penlan and Brynhyfryd, as we will signpost families towards them.
3. Primary schools in Mumbles, Penlan and Brynhyfryd, as their pupils will gain designing and building skills which relate to the Design & Technology curriculum.
We will consult with these organisations on a regular basis, to ensure that these benefits are maximised. | | |
